Parking Lot Service
We will be meeting Saturdays at 5PM at New Song Community Church, 3985 Mission Ave in Oceanside.

If you are unable to make it in person please check out our livestream on Facebook.

As most of you have already heard, we will no longer be meeting at Del Rio Elementary. Due to COVID-19 concerns, OUSD is no longer hosting any outside organizations on school properties. We are actively looking for a space of our own, but in the meantime New Song Community Church has graciously allowed us to meet on their property. Their church has made the decision to only offer parking lot services for the time being, and we will be following their lead. In order not to conflict with their services we will be doing Saturday Night Church for a short season!

In order to remain safe and compliant with county and state orders the following guidelines will be observed:

  • Please stay home if you or anyone in your household is ill.
  • We will be observing social distancing, with family members sitting together. Please bring lawn chairs for your family if you have them. We will have some on hand if there is a need.
  • Please wear masks, especially in the time people are arriving and socializing. Once families are seated and safely distanced, and after worship time, masks may be removed until service is over, if desired. Those preaching and leading worship will be unmasked for ease of communication and function, but will be cautiously distanced.
  • All children’s ministries will be on hold per state guidelines. Children are welcomed in service and should remain in the care of those in their household unit.
  • Words for songs will be available through our Digital Bulletin.
  • Lord’s Supper is prepackaged, and will be passed out via no touch distribution.
  • We will be livestreaming our service, so if you don’t feel comfortable gathering just yet, you will still have a virtual option.
  • No hugging, handshakes, or high-fives with those outside your household. We know you will be excited to see one another but please respect the contact guidelines.

We also have a “drive-in” option! If you are still actively sheltering in, but would like to join us, we have the perfect solution! If you can put write on a piece of paper “DRIVE IN” and place it on your dashboard to let parking lot volunteers know you are driving in, and they will direct you where to park.

We have adopted these guidelines because we want to preserve our witness for Jesus to our communities by following our local, state, and national leaders, and because we don’t want to be responsible for an outbreak that could devastate lives. Thank you for your partnership in these goals.

Please check the weather, and if you feel you may need a blanket or a hat for the sun, please bring what you need for your comfort. We will not have access to the restrooms, as their building will be locked. In case of emergency there is an Albertson’s in the same shopping center. We are so excited to gather with you again and are thankful to have the hospitality of a church within our community. Please let us know if you have any questions!
