We Exist to Know Jesus
and Make Him Known.

The first question you may be asking is, why are you meeting on Saturdays at another church’s facility? Great question! The short answer, because of God’s leading. In March of 2024, the Lord led our church to begin praying and fasting about where we were headed as a church and what things we should considering adjusting as we approached our 10-year anniversary. We heard clearly that our time at the school, where we had met for the last 10 years, was coming to a close. 

After that, we continued praying and fasting for further direction. This led us to asking FBC San Luis Rey about renting space, to which they said yes! We moved our services here in January of this year and have found a place where we know God has called us, yet we’re not certain what the longterm plan is. And while future is unclear in terms of location, the mission has never been more clear. It’s an exciting time to be a part of what God is doing at Pillar Oceanside. God is on the move, and we want to follow His leading intently and faithfully!

We exist to know Jesus and make Him known in our communities, workplaces, homes, and aboard Camp Pendleton. We believe that church is not like family, but that it is family. We preach the gospel weekly through expositional sermons and we encourage everyone to participate in our mid-week small groups.

We live in a transient community and see that as fitting into our mission at Pillar. Our goal is to see people come to faith in Christ and then quickly disciple & equip them before the Lord sends them away. The same is true for those already following after Christ. We have work to do and no time to waste!
