Prayer Focus of the Week: NAMB/Church Planting

Scripture Reading: Acts 1:6-11

So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Worship Songs:

My Heart is Steadfast (Psalm 108)

My heart is steadfast O God
I’ll sing praises up to thee among the nations
I’ll give thanks to thee O Lord among the peoples
I’ll sing praises up to thee within my soul

For thy loving kindness is great above the heavens
Thy truth it reaches to the skies
Be exalted O God above the heavens
And thy glory over all the Earth
That those who love may be delivered
Save with thy right hand and answer me

Lord I Need You

Lord I come I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
And without You I fall apart
You’re the one that guides my heart

Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You

So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay

Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You

Announcements and Closing Prayer:

Pizza & Peeps — Post service pizza party! Please join us after service for some pizza and safe fellowship. We have missed the times of breaking bread together and spending time with our family. We’ll have volunteers serving food with gloves, individual drinks will be available, and we’ll be seated in our family clusters while eating. Please plan on sticking around for some family time!!!

Corporate Prayer –We began 2020 with 20 days of prayer, and made a commitment to meet on the 20th of each month this year to pray corporately for needs in our church, community, and the world at large. We will be meeting Tuesday, October 20 at 6:30-7:30pm at the Martin’s house for Corporate Prayer. Please check Band for the address or connect with John or Jacque. As it says in Matthew 18:19-20 ‘Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”’ There is something powerful and precious in the gathering of God’s people in prayer, and we would love for you to join us. If you are planning to come out, please bring a chair! If you are not able to make it in person and would still like to join us virtually, please email us or check Band for the Zoom link.

Life Groups — Friday Night Life Groups are on a short break for the next 3 weeks. Wednesday Night will be meeting for the next 2 weeks, and ALL Life Groups start back with their new studies the week of November 9th. If you have any questions, please send us an email or speak to one of the elders.

Save the Date — Men, November 6-7th we will be hosting our second annual camping trip. Our desire is to see this shift into a Men’s Retreat, so this campout will be a bit more structured with activities and teachings during our 24-hours together. We will camp at Green Oak Ranch in Vista from Friday evening, November 6th until Saturday evening, November 7th. The campground, food, and activities will all be provided for $25 a person. Please RSVP with Trace or on the Band App

Fight Clubs— Our Fight Clubs are forming new groups! These groups are a great way to enter into discipleship relationships and have accountability as you fight sin and fight for your growth as a believer. If you would like to be a part of a Fight Club, please contact one of the Fight Club Coaches:
