Deacon, Set-up Team Leader
Robert is the leader of the Set-Up Team, an essential ministry in the life of Pillar Church, as we set up and tear down for service each week. He is a retired Marine who served as a Combat Engineer for 21 years, and is from San Diego, CA. He is married to his beautiful wife, Emily, and has four children, Trystan 23, Tayler 20, Taryn 19, and Josslyn 13. His main focus within Mighty Oaks is counseling men from a biblical approach.
Robert says, " I love serving at Pillar Church because it is serving for a bigger purpose, something bigger and better than myself. It is serving family, friends, and community. The Christ-like environment that exists at Pillar is contagious, and I want to submit to God and do my part in promoting that Christ-like environment. Setting up the Church for worship is a great way to do to accomplish that goal. All of us who set up strive to provide a place where anyone who steps into that place will feel that it is a place where worshipping the Almighty God can and will happen."
Robert is currently attending Biola University, where he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biblical Counseling. He has a passion for counseling people utilizing the Word of God. The Scriptures supernaturally save, transform, and heal people.
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Deacon, Sound Team Leader
Jacob is an active duty infantry Marine married to his lovely wife, Charlsie. He was born in Colorado but would argue his true roots are in the North Idaho mountains, where his love for the outdoors was cultivated. When not working, Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife, training their German Shepherd, and working on garage projects. He hopes to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
Jacob is over the Sound Ministry, maintaining the sound quality for the service. He believes it is important to represent sound in such a way that honors the Lord; not to make our voices heard, but to ensure His voice is the focus of every gathering of the church.
Deacon, Welcome Team Leader
Charlsie claims beautiful North Idaho as home, where she met the love of her life while working as a stunt performer at the Inland Northwest’s largest theme park. She and Jacob have been married since July of 2017, shortly after he joined the Marine Corps. Charlsie is an active homemaker and loves all things creative and from scratch. She is the mother of two fur babies, and hopes the Lord will bless them with human babies one day as well.
Charlsie is the leader of the Welcome Team, where she loves working alongside others to warmly greet newcomers and regular attendees alike. The Welcome Team is often the first set of faces seen when someone walks into service, and Charlsie feels it is their critical job to love on members and visitors the way Jesus does.
A verse close to her heart is Isaiah 26:3, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

It's so important to get them plugged in, love them as hard as we can for however long we have them, and prepare them for their next mission in the Kingdom, all while pointing them constantly back to the Cross." Kristy's go-to scripture is Matthew 6:33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Brian's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 27: 2-4,
Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident.
One thing have I asked of the Lord,

As a Motor T Marine he says, "I think it's awesome that my military job relates to my ministry." Zachary's favorite scripture is Galatians 6:8-9, "For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
