Prayer Focus of the Week: Saturate Global

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 1:1-7 (ESV)

1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: 2 To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, 3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; 4 to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth—5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance, 6 to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Lord’s Supper

Easter Sunday– Easter is in two weeks and we plan to have a wonderful celebration service. Easter is unique in that many people are open to coming to church, more so than almost any other day. Our encouragement to you is to invite people. Make the ask and let the Lord bring them. Please take some invites and be intentional about putting them in the hands of those God has placed around you.

Walk Thru the Bible – This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the structure and themes of the Old Testament. Jim Thurber is a certified instructor of this engaging and interactive material. This mini-series of classes will be held in TWO sessions. The first will be Sunday April 3rd from 7-9pm, and the second will be Sunday April 9th at a time TBD. It will be held at the Thurber home in Oceanside. To sign up or for more information, contact Jim at (804) 543-0434.

Life Groups – Our Life Groups play a significant role in the life of believers. As their name suggests, we are literally “doing life” with one another. It’s in these smaller groups where relationships are deepened and the opportunity for biblical fellowship increases from Sunday morning interactions. Here are our groups:

Friday Nights in San Onofre – Hosted and facilitated by the Rynishes, north side of Camp Pendleton, Discovery Bible Study, 6pm, potluck meal

Friday Nights in Oceanside – Hosted and facilitated by the Massies, Oceanside, studying through the Sermon on the Mount, 6pm, potluck meal

Giving – There are several ways to give at Pillar Church. Click here to give online, or you may drop your offering in the box located on the Welcome Table. Thank you for your contribution!

Fight Clubs are same-gender groups of about three people encouraging each other to live a life aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is to love Jesus more, through our affection for him and our allegiance to him, by helping each other rehearse the gospel and fight sin. Fight Clubs strive to meet at least twice a month for an intentional, focused time devoted to the word and genuine fellowship. For more information or to sign up contact:
