Prayer Focus of the Week: Pillar Norfolk

Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:1–8 (ESV)

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father. 3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, 5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, 7 just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your[c] behalf 8 and has made known to us your love in the Spirit.

Life Groups – Our Life Groups play a significant role in the life of believers. As their name suggests, we are literally “doing life” with one another. It’s in these smaller groups where relationships are deepened and the opportunity for biblical fellowship increases from Sunday morning interactions.

  • Oceanside: Meets at the Massie home at 6pm every Friday. They are currently on a 2-week break and will reconvene on 24 March. Please check BAND for more details. If you are not on the church’s Band account, please sign up–this is where we post meals and Life Group info.
  • San Onofre: This Life Group usually meets on the last Sunday of the month at 6pm in San Onofre Housing. The February gathering has been postponed to Sunday, March 5, and will be meeting at the Brown home, 208 Widdecke Way, San Clemente. We’ll be sharing a potluck-style meal with a study to follow. For more info please contact Keith MacDonald at (757) 513-5059.

Giving – There are several ways to give at Pillar Church. Click here to give online, or you may drop your offering in the box located on the Welcome Table. Thank you for your contribution!

Fight Clubs are same-gender groups of about three people encouraging each other to live a life aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is to love Jesus more, through our affection for him and our allegiance to him, by helping each other rehearse the gospel and fight sin. Fight Clubs strive to meet at least twice a month for an intentional, focused time devoted to the word and genuine fellowship. For more information or to sign up contact:
