50th Anniversary – On Sunday July 27th, First Baptist Church of San Luis Rey will celebrate 50 years of ministry! They have invited us to celebrate with them in both a luncheon and a special service that day. The service, “Bridges to the Future: Honoring Our Past, Shaping Tomorrow”, will begin at 3pm in the sanctuary. The lunch fellowship will be 12-3pm. Let’s come alongside our brothers and sisters and rejoice in what God has done for over half a century here!

Back to School Bash – Olive Crest and Strong Families are doing a Back to School Bash next month for local families in need. There are many ways the church community is helping, Pillar will be hosting a carnival style game for everyone to participate in. We want to make it special for the families with fun prizes, so we’re collecting said prizes over the next two weeks. We’re collecting items like small plushies, balls, bubbles, slime, stickers, etc. If you’d like to support but don’t have the bandwidth at the moment, you can designate a financial contribution to Pillar (attn. Olive Crest) and we will buy some prizes on your behalf. Jerry & Adri and Aftershock Youth are leading the charge, so if you have questions talk to Adri. You can even volunteer to help with the booth on Saturday August 2nd.

Gather & Grow – The first Saturday of the month is a time where we intentionally seek to connect and learn together. This month, in addition to our name tags, youth/treehouse activities, and potluck, we’re holding a mid-year “Townhall”. This is a time to come together for fellowship, as well as discuss the happenings of the church as we head into the next season. All are invited!

Four:Six Prayer – Each Saturday at 4:06 PM, we set aside time to pray together before service. Rooted in Philippians 4:6, this gathering is about more than just a pre-service ritual—it’s a moment to pause, refocus, and re-center our hearts on the presence and peace of God. As we bring our gratitude and our needs before Him, we prepare ourselves to worship in unity and expectation. This intentional rhythm reminds us that prayer isn’t the backup plan—it’s the starting place. Everyone is invited to join.

Fight Clubs are same-gender groups of about three people encouraging each other to live a life aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is to love Jesus more, through our affection for and our allegiance to him, by helping each other rehearse the gospel and fight sin. Fight Clubs strive to meet at least twice a month for an intentional, focused time devoted to the word and genuine fellowship. For more information or to sign up contact:

four:six Prayer – Psalm 46

Psalm 46 (ESV)
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
