Next Week – Due to a memorial service here at SLR, Pillar’s weekly worship gathering will be on Sunday October 11th at 4:30pm.

Life Groups – Our next Life Group is Wednesday, October 7th! This group is meeting at the Martin’s home for dinner at 6pm, and at 6:45pm we’ll be doing a sermon text preview—studying and discussing the Scripture passage that will be preached the following Saturday. You can get the address and RSVP here in Band if you plan on joining.

Gather & Grow – Today is the first Saturday of the month and our time to gather and share a meal after church. We will have a potluck after service, please make plans to join us!

Corporate Fasting – During the first part of each month, we set aside time as a church family for prayer and fasting. Here’s the plan: Pick one day during the week of October 4th-10th to fast for 24 hours. Use the fasting guide and prayer list we’ve provided to help you focus your time with the Lord. Pray through the specific topics together with the rest of the church, even as you fast individually. Fasting is a way for us to seek God’s presence, depend on Him more deeply, and unite our hearts in prayer. We’d love for you to be part of this month’s effort—choose your day, lean into the guide, and let’s pursue God together.

ManDown – ManDown 2026 is upon us. Within the Praetorian Project, ManDown men’s retreats have been held annually for over 10 years on the East Coast. This October we celebrate the 4th year here of ManDown in Southern California! Once again, our 1.5-day event will help men grow in their faith, deepen their love for Christ, and do all kinds of cool man stuff. The event will join men from all three SoCal Pillar churches as we gather October 9-10 in Idyllwild, CA.

Four:Six Prayer – Each Saturday at 4:06 PM, we set aside time to pray together before service. Rooted in Philippians 4:6, this gathering is about more than just a pre-service ritual—it’s a moment to pause, refocus, and re-center our hearts on the presence and peace of God. As we bring our gratitude and our needs before Him, we prepare ourselves to worship in unity and expectation. This intentional rhythm reminds us that prayer isn’t the backup plan—it’s the starting place. Everyone is invited to join.
