Prayer Focus of the Week: Pillar Jacksonville

Scripture Reading: Philippians 1:1-6 (ESV)

Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons: 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Worship through Music

You Never Let Go
Even though I walk through the valley
Of the shadow of death
Your perfect love is casting out fear
And even when I’m caught in the middle
Of the storms of this life
I won’t turn back I know You are near

And I will fear no evil
For my God is with me
And if my God is with me
Whom then shall I fear
Whom then shall I fear

Oh no You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no You never let go
In ev’ry high and ev’ry low
Oh no You never let go
Lord You never let go of me

And I can see a light that is coming
For the heart that holds on
A glorious light beyond all compare
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
We’ll live to know You here on the earth

Yes I can see a light
That is coming for the heart that holds on
And there will be an end to these troubles
But until that day comes
Still I will praise You
Still I will praise You

One Thing Remains (Your Love Never Fails)
Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails
It never gives up
Never runs out on me
(REPEAT)

Your love

On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains
One thing remains

In death in life I’m confident and
Cover’d by the power of Your great love
My debt is paid there’s nothing that
Can separate my heart from Your great love
(REPEAT)

Response Song

Lord I Need You
Lord I come I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
And without You I fall apart
You’re the one that guides my heart

Lord I need You oh I need You
Ev’ry hour I need You
My one defense my righteousness
Oh God how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

So teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay
And when I cannot stand I’ll fall on You
Jesus You’re my hope and stay

Announcements

Big Sunday – Today is the first Sunday of the month, which means it is BIG SUNDAY! It’s a Family Service so all the children will be in service with us…AND…it will be OUTSIDE!

Leadership Team Meeting – Please mark your calendars for a leadership team meeting on 30 October. We will meet in the MPR over lunch with ministry leaders, team leaders, deacons, and elders to look to the future. We will also be joined by potential new leaders that may join our team.

ManDown 2022 – Within the Praetorian Project, ManDown men’s retreats have been held annually for the last 10 years on the East Coast. This year, that changes as we bring ManDown to Southern California! This 1.5-day event in October will help men to grow in their faith, deepen their love for Christ, and do all kinds of cool man-stuff. The event will join men from all three SoCal Pillar churches as we gather October 21-23 (Friday evening-early Sunday morning) in Idyllwild, CA. Registration is $99. Payment options are available, full balance due by October 15. Registration is now open! Click here to register.

Life Groups – Our Life Groups play a significant role in the life of believers. As their name suggests, we are literally “doing life” with one another. It’s in these smaller groups where relationships are deepened and the opportunity for biblical fellowship increases from Sunday morning interactions.

Our Fall Life Group session is at the Massie home, 1615 Calle Las Casas in Oceanside, at 6pm every Friday.  We’ll be having dinner together and studying the book of James. If you are not on the church’s Band account, please sign up–this is where we post meals and Life Group info.

Giving – There are several ways to give at Pillar Church. Click here to give online, or you may drop your offering in the box located on the Welcome Table. Thank you for your contribution!

Fight Clubs are same-gender groups of about three people encouraging each other to live a life aligned with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is to love Jesus more, through our affection for him and our allegiance to him, by helping each other rehearse the gospel and fight sin. Fight Clubs strive to meet at least twice a month for an intentional, focused time devoted to the word and genuine fellowship. For more information or to sign up contact:
